Alpha Lipoic Acid

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a multifunctional antioxidant found in every cell in the body and may help the body metabolize Vitamin C & E.

Ingredients

Alpha Lipoic Acid

Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA) is a multifunctional antioxidant found in every cell in the body that helps to neutralize free radicals and to support healthy, well-functioning cells. ALA helps the conversion of glucose into energy and helps the body maintain its glucose metabolism function. It is sometimes referred to as the “universal antioxidant” because it is soluble in both fat and water and "recharges" Vitamins C and E allowing them to maintain their potency longer as well as help the body maintain its glutathione levels.

Benefits of Alpha Lipoic Acid

May help neutralize free radicals in the body.

May help prevent Memory Loss & Cognitive Decline.

May help Preserve Eye Health.

Eyes

ALA is a particularly strong antioxidant, and this antioxidant function is particularly effective when addressing eye health. Slowing down the deterioration of cones within the eye, is vitally critical to the eye's health and correct function. ALA has been show to help regenerate glutathione, which is protective of pathogens for the cells.

Muscle

ALA facilitates the collection of energy and nutrients from the food we eat. Simply put, the body would be unable to produce energy without alpha lipoic acid. At the cellular level, ALA is delivering the fuel to cells, which provide the energy our muscles need to contract and function properly.

Energy

Alpha-lipoic acid delivers and converts glucose into fuel for the body. While is does attack free radicals, which are harmful elements that occur naturally in the body, it is this unique ability to power our bodies at the cellular level that make this nutrient vital. It increases your metabolism, reduces the adverse effects of oxidation, and restores select vitamin levels in the body.

Brain

As an antioxidant and a blood brain barrier crossing nutrient, ALA easily supports the healthy functioning of the brain. However, in addition, ALA helps suppress certain enzymes which allow immune response cells to cross the blood brain barrier, thereby regulating that response appropriately.
